Are you a student, entrepreneur or inventor with an innovative product or concept? Apply for the Technology Innovation Bazaar 2019 for a chance to present your invention to a network of influential players in the tech innovation ecosystem.
Applications are now open for all inventors to apply for the Technology Innovation Bazaar 2019. Those accepted will get a chance to present their invention to a network of influential players in the tech innovation ecosystem. Submission for proposals is open until 11 May 2019. Everyone submitting an idea will receive feedback on their proposal and the best ideas will be selected for participation in the first national Technology Innovation Bazaar in Windhoek on 22-23 May 2019.
The Bazaar gives the selected inventors an opportunity to showcase their ideas to potential clients, financiers and partners. The idea may be a completed product, such as a functioning mobile application. Alternatively, it may be a concept that describes what the product or service looks like, what it is for, and how it would work. Both finished products and concepts must be accompanied with a short text that explains how the invention makes good business sense or benefits the nation and communities.
The Inclusive and Collaborative Local Tech Innovation Hub is a project at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics at the Namibia University of Science and Technology. The project is funded by the Finnish Embassy.
In addition to the exhibit of selected inventions, the Bazaar will feature exciting innovation activities, such as a Dragon’s Den, workshops and talks from international and local speakers.
To submit their ideas for consideration, interested parties are asked to fill out the online form. Submissions will be treated as confidential and the Inclusive and Collaborative Local Tech Innovation Hub is committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of all submitting parties.
Representatives of business, government, innovation organizations, and other stakeholders interested in furthering Namibian innovations are warmly welcome to participate. Kindly contact Mr Riundja Ekandjo, ekanjo[@]icttechhub.com, tel. 081 227 9965 to register as a participating company or institution.

“Namibia has a lot of creative ideas on how technologies could be used to create economic or social value. The Bazaar is a platform that helps inventors to get in touch with business, investors, government, and academia”
