The ‘’spin the bottle’’ game is a child friendly customized reading game. The learner’s version draws on the idea of the popular young adult’s game ‘Spin-the-Bottle’. The device is positioned on the table, while the players stand in a circle around the table.The first player touches the bottle which starts spinning. When the lid of the bottle points to a specific child, that child will have to read and perform the activity displayed on the Pop-up card.

Dial a technician is a platform that will link technician from all sectors from plumbing, computer scientist, electrician, and many more with possible clients looking for a service and its main aim is to reduce unemployment rates. Dial a technician will work on alleviating the day to day failures such as electricity, plumbing, renovations, and many more that are experienced within households and in offices by making it easy to get the kind of service that is required for the type of failure.

Child Online Protection Mobile Application, is a platform that aims to offer online security awareness to the children of the republic of Namibia. This is accomplished by providing educational content, on the various aspects that a child should be aware of crimes related to the internet. The platform also allows its users to report a crime right away. While it is an educative platform, children can also enjoy the fun portal on the platform.

Our product is the AR hand-made handbags. This bags are made from scrap leather and they are being produce by San women. The handbags feature augmented reality content which is created with markers found on the bags. Thus when hovering the smart phone over the marker a video illustrating the women in process of producing the handbags is displayed.

KGC TECH from Kunene region manufactures of miniature cars. The cars are made with metal sheets and many other waste materials such as crate which is melted and molted to make wheels and other plastic finishes. The cars that they manufacture are powered and controlled by different components, some are powered and controlled by a long stiff steering wire while others use electric motor for movement. All of these cars are fitted with light bulbs, which includes indicator lights, brake lights, reverse lights etc., and also audio systems, they use 12 volts’ reachable batteries that charges either on AC or DC current we also fit them with a small device that charges mobile phones.

The main idea behind this project, we have considered the past, present and the future of the city and try using gamification to solve/aware inhabitants of the city, of the dismaying condition the city is in and possibly faced if the player does nothing to save it. LANDMARKZ as the name entails, takes the player to few of the iconic places which are soon to be forgotten around Windhoek city center. This is to enforce learning as most of these places hold rich variety of information and ancient knowledge. Playing the game, you will discover the richness of diversified cultures and history in the city of Windhoek.

The QR codes are created from a Windows application called QR Code Studio. The QR Code studio uses links to paste them on the QR code. The QR codes we invented contain links to YouTube channels with educational videos of Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

Invention: The HomeLess App

The HomeLess App idea was co-designed with kids in Walvis Bay, was aimed to sensitize the community towards the homeless living within the Walvis Bay area. They had identified that there was a large number of homeless people that face a lot of problems with regards to living area and access basic needs. We therefore designed the HomeLess App which will work as referral program where the community centre known as the HomeLess Centre, will serve as a way for documenting the homeless people in the area through ID cards that verify their identity (Picture, Name, Age and a Unique QR code). The community will have a role to play in providing vocational jobs for the homeless for example cleaning the yard, picking up litter in the area and then rewarding them with points by scanning the QR code on their ID card which they can use the purchase food, clothing or rent a place to stay.

Exploradio is the first and only audio-interface for Namibia. It is a GPS-based app which contains short audio clips on monuments and historical sites in Namibia as well as audio clips which are not connected to a location and inform tourists about Namibian customs and traditions, nature and much more. The motivation is to tell Namibia's stories from a local perspective and to make learning about history fun. To provide a realistic and objective perspective on colonialism and thus enlighting European tourists is one of Exploradio's main objectives.

The application supports all hearing and visual impairment to independently access different services such as business seminars, health, education, banking and other services just with a click of a button. We have a prototype that can enable visual impaired to ready all hardcopy form such as medical labels, daily newspaper ects. Hearing impaired can attend workshop without sign language present. COVID-19 had negatively affected visually and hearing impaired communities particularly in Africa
